Abstract

In this paper we study the generalized lower(k)record values arising from power function distribution. Some properties of generalized lower(k)record values which characterize the power function distribution have been established. Also some distributional properties of generalized lower(k)record values arising from power function distribution are studied. The applications of these properties are further illustrated in obtaining the product moments of certain statistics based on generalized lower(k)record values.
